"Here are pictures of a box of
cool old manufactured parts for building frames
out of heavy brass tube, from Kemtron."
"I remember those Kemtron motors. Big as a washing machine and just as heavy!
You needed a pretty beefy frame. Of coures, big as they were, Kemtron and
Ram were more than ready to clobber the early kit cars. I know, because
I built kits and got mercilessly creamed by these very same land yachts!"
"Kemtron and Ram were the hot mills at the first track I ever hung around.
Big heavy motors and a swing arm that was completely free to travel,
so that all four wheels were planted firmly on the track. They'd hang a slug of brass
or lead as big as a boat anchor on top of the guide, just to keep it in the slot!"
