The Dual-Motor Inline Brass Chassis
Doug Azary built this wild 2-motor chassis in January, 2003.
His auction stated:
This is a custom built chassis that will accept 2 vintage 16D motors
or 2 modern 16D motors, like Parma's Deathstar. If you choose to install Deathstars,
take a moto tool and barely grind
a couple of thousandths off the ends of the armature shafts of both motors
at the end bell ends... the fit is close! Most normal vintage 16D's
will drop right in with no modifications.
The guide flag mount is actually a drop arm that is hinged between the 2 motors.
The chassis is set up for 1/8" axles front and rear.
The wheelbase is about 4 1/8".
