John Secchi: Mid-80s McLaren
John Secchi sends these pictures of some 1/32 ECRA/BSCRA car from different periods, from
his collection. Awesome!
John writes:
"This car belonged to Roy Cherry of the now gone Chequered Flag club in Northolt
[West London] and was a popular design of the mid 1980s. In fact it's a copy of a
101/Tim Ryan chassis of that period. The motor is typical soft cobalt 13UO can and
cut down Mura endbell. The armature is probably from 101 and is hand wound
[I think they were wound by Proslot at the time]. This car last ran at the
Worlds in Gateshead UK in 1990."
