Russ Toy: STP Indy Turbine
Russ Toy sends these images of his version of everyone's favorite car, the STP Indy Turbine. Awesome, Russ, thanks!
Russ writes:
"Here’s the latest project from my workbench; the STP Indy Turbine. It uses a .078 wire U-frame
(same as my
VMRA F1/Indy chassis) with two REH motor brackets on each end.
It features a drop arm with a floating center weight and independent side pans. The front shaft is
coupled with a Q-tip handle (for now). You can actually feel that it’s four-wheel on the track
and it’s really quick down the straightaway (maybe, too fast). I wouldn’t use this as my race car,
but it does make an interesting conversation piece at the track!"
