Charles Rickards sends in pictures of our favorite, another Indy Turbine Car!
I think there are enough of these that we could stage a race whose
entrants are all Indy Turbine Cars. What is it about this car, that it has grabbed all our hearts?
Hi Jim, here are 3 pictures of the completed Indy Turbine Car, less driver and decals.
Brief details are:
4" W/Base, 7/8" guide lead, 2 X .062" piano wire main rails, using a modified Rehco inline motor bracket.
There are .062" plumber rails with a pair of modified Parma .032" wide finger batpans.
The drop arm is from a "Super 80" Int 32 Chassis. The Cheetah II motor geared 8:32,
with repro wheels and tyres from Pattos place.
Body is from Bob Crawford of Sunset Racing Shells Australia, paint is Tamiya Red. Total car weight 108.3g.
Regards,
Charles Rickards
