John Warren's Ferrari
We are used to seeing scratchbuilt chassis with straight, parallel rods and perpendicular cross members.
John Warren's swooping, roller coaster frame rails show beauty doesn't have to be so straight-laced! Gorgeous
work, John; thanks for sending this contribution. --tja

After many years absent from slotcars, I have returned and am enjoying
scratch building again. Here is my seventh effort.
Body is by K&B Aurora, and other components are gathered from a variety of sources.
I left slotcars before floating sidepans became fashionable, so that gives me away.
I love the solder and brass, good old 1/8 axles and the ubiquitous 16D motor.
I have soldered directly to the oilite to form the rear drive line; this is rather crude but works very well.
I call my building technique "Eyetrometry" because if it looks right, it is right!
