Drills, bits drill presses, lathes and machine tools
Any holes the scratchbuilder needs to make
in metal are drilled, usually with a drill press.
More complex metal shaping is done with metal lathes
or machinist's lathes, and with other machine tools.

Right: Steve Okeefe - A word about drill bits: They are like
X-acto knife blades, which is to say they dull after a while, and dull
drill bits will ruin a project for you. Do yourself a favor and
buy new ones (split-point bits are preferred).
