Above: The motor is a Cobra rewind, using silver wire in a Russkit 23 can
(and boy does that thing wind up, but it probably needs a 6:1 gear ratio!)
This is definitely a commercial chassis, maybe also a Cobra (I
have another one exactly the same), but can't find the evidence offhand.

the whippersnappers what "real" motors looked like!
First is a Pittman DC70 (with hot arm) in a magnesium
ladder frame, which may be a commercial effort by some small firm.
Second, a Tradeship (long shaft IL) in a mediocre scratch chassis.
