#8 Ford GT
Jack writes:
"A Lancer Ford GT mounted on what I think is a Cox chassis.
The guide flag has a huge lead weight on it and the drop arm has a projection aft of the
pivot point that serves as a stop against the bottom of the motor
(otherwise I think it would come down nearly to perpendicular!)
The motor is a Pittman DC703, the front and rear wheels are Dynamic.
I had to do some disassembly and resoldering to get things straight again, but
the car is all just as I received it from eBay - even the rear tires responded well to wintergreen.
The body is one of my '60s holdovers and it's a little rough - you can easily see touchups
in the paint and a ton of scratches from the many times it was on its roof! I also put in
a modern Parma interior; I just dislike interiorless or driverless cars!"
